Kenny was my best friend in HS. We went to Martha's Vinyard together. I was very close with his family. In the fall we played football every Saturday in his backyard. After I went to UMass and he went to UN H we lost contact. I know he passed awy at a very young age. He was so healthy, funny, and friendly it was hard for me to believe. Do you know what happened?
I actually got to know Ken Kidd in college, not at Needham High School. Saw him in the halls of Boston University after I transferred from Trinity University and we hit it off. We commuted together for a whole year from Needham to BU, both attending the business school. He told me all about his carefree summers on Marthas Vineyard, surfing and creating great memories. And I told him about my tennis team days with Ken Birkett, Phil McMurray, and others. He had transferred from UNH, and after graduating from BU, went on to Stanford and got his MBA there. I always liked him and admired his ability to do so well academically. It was very sad to learn about his passing at such a young age.

I believe Kenny died of brain cancer.
