I have a story about Gerry that I've told many times. Gerry and I were in Mr. Parmagene's (sp?) first period biology class. We sat at the desk that abutted the lab table behind which Mr P. lectured pacing back and forth. Every now and then Jerry would fall asleep and Mr. P. would say something like, "...And what do you think about the Islets of Langerhans, BELLOMO!" and bang on the lab table so hard that Gerry would practically jump out of his seat. Poor Gerry. He always got caught.

I didn't know Gerry, butI am sure friends have fond memories. My comment is for Susan: You sureMr. P didn't throw chalk at Gerry? That's what happened in my class...

I think he might have done that too. I just remember the bang and the startled look on Gerry's face when he woke up. So Penny, you were in that first period class too sophomore year?

I have no idea which period. I just know that when I barely passed the class, he let me know the grade was a gift. He knew I was hopeless with some stuff, including science. :)
